BISP Kafalat Program 2024: Latest Payment Update for Ramadan 2024

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), known for its impactful cash transfer initiatives in Pakistan, has rolled out its quarterly cash aid of Rs 10,500 for deserving households under the Kafaalat program in the first quarter of 2024.

Established in 2008, the Benazir Kafaalat Programme stands as a pivotal pillar of BISP’s efforts to tackle economic challenges such as slow growth, food scarcity, and inflation. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program aims to eradicate severe and persistent poverty while fostering women’s empowerment.

Currently, the Benazir Kafaalat program provides financial assistance to more than 9 million households across Pakistan.

BISP’s New Payment for Ramadan 2024

BISP has commenced the distribution of Rs 10,500 as quarterly aid to enrolled households for January–March 2024, covering all provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

This financial support is expected to ease the financial strain on families during the holy month of Ramadan in 2024.

Responding to economic challenges, the government has raised the quarterly aid from Rs 8,500 to Rs 10,500 for enrolled households.

How to Check BISP Payment

Eligible women, identified as beneficiaries, will receive an SMS notification from 8171.

Upon receiving the SMS, the beneficiary must visit the nearest HBL/BAFL POS/retailer in their tehsil with their original CNIC for biometric verification to collect the first installment.
