
China urges Pakistan to punish culprits of Shangla attack
Strongly denouncing the suicide attack targeting the Dasu Hydropower Project personnel, China urged Pakistan to mete out severe punishment to those responsible for the terrorist assault.
The attack in Shangla’s Besham city resulted in the deaths of at least six individuals, including five Chinese nationals.
According to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in Malakand, a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into the car carrying the Chinese nationals.
In an official statement, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan conveyed that a bus belonging to a Chinese company, transporting staff for the Dasu Hydropower Project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, fell victim to the terrorist attack around 1 pm local time on March 26.
Regrettably, five Chinese citizens and one Pakistani citizen lost their lives in the incident.
The embassy and Consulates General in Pakistan extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and expressed sincere sympathy to their families.
They also affirmed their commitment to cooperating with Pakistani authorities in managing the aftermath of the attack.
