In view of the threat of terrorism, emergency mock drills were conducted at various locations of Adiala Jail, in which rescue teams, including Rangers, Bomb Disposal Squad, and Police, participated.
In this regard, emergency drills were conducted on the orders of IG Prisons Mian Farooq Nazir, and search operations are also going on in Adiala Jail and nearby areas.
Jail sources said that the jail staff is also being investigated, and special signal jamming devices have been installed inside the jail.
The Punjab Home Department has banned meetings with PTI founders in Adiala Jail for two weeks.
Following the orders of the Home Department, the jail administration has also banned journalists, and now they cannot even go to or near gate number 5 of the jail or do any coverage.
The relevant authorities said that the decision to ban meetings with the PTI founder was made as a result of the failed terrorist attacks on the jail, in which three terrorists were arrested. Following this incident, security measures have been taken.
