Country’s economy to run on investment and not on loans: Khawaja Asif
Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the country’s economy will not run on loans but on investments.
Asif, while speaking to the media after performing the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer said, “Eid Mubarak to the entire nation, Palestine should not be forgotten on this occasion, the conscience of the United States, Great Britain and European countries is asleep, apart from this, we also have our own. Actions should be reviewed.”
He said that the prices of commodities were increased in Ramadan, on one hand the cruelty in Palestine has reached its peak, on the other hand the Muslim Ummah is silent.
The federal minister said, “We cannot help our Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers, the Muslim Ummah has to consider this wherever Muslims are being oppressed.”
He expressed gratitude towards the hospitality from Saudi Arabia and added that the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif clearly stated that we want investments and not loans as they have immediate impacts. He also said that there will be investments in various sectors.
The Defense Minister said that the PM has also initiated talks the UAE and Qatar on the matter on investments.
