KP extends School Spring Break ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr 2024

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has extended the Spring Break for schools and educational institutions due to the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Therefore, schools in Peshawar and other cities across KP will resume classes on Monday, April 15th.

Regarding this matter, the Elementary and Higher Education Department issued notifications instructing both government and private schools to extend the Eid holidays. Initially scheduled to conclude on April 8, the spring holidays, which commenced on April 1, were prolonged in anticipation of the commencement of the new academic year. The extension of the academic year was necessary as the government required additional time to distribute free textbooks to students.

For offices following 5-day a week work pattern, the holiday will be from April 10 to April 12 (Wednesday to Friday) while the holiday schedule for offices working on six days a week is from April 10 to 13 (Wednesday to Saturday).
