The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted additional rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms, in Peshawar and various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening and Monday.

According to the synoptic situation, a strong westerly wave is prevailing over most of Pakistan, with moisture from the Arabian Sea penetrating southern regions of the country.

Consequently, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Karak, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kurram, Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to experience more rain, wind, and thunderstorms.

Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall and hailstorms are anticipated during this period. The PMD warns that heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding in local nullahs and streams of Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Manshera, and tributaries of the Kabul River until April 15th, with landslides likely in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Peshawar’s maximum temperatures are predicted to range between 16-18 degrees Celsius on Monday and 22-24 C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, rain, wind, and thunderstorms were reported in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 24 hours.

Bannu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 26 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 80 percent.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 19 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 90 percent.
