After Eid ul Fitr 2024, both public and private schools across all cities in Punjab, including Lahore, will revert to their regular schedules following the reduced hours observed during the holy month of Ramadan 2024.
All schools have declared public holidays until April 13 for Eid, with educational institutions set to reopen on April 15 (Monday). Throughout the fasting month, single-shift schools will operate from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on weekdays (Monday to Thursday), while on Fridays, the timings will be from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Second-shift schools will commence classes at 1:00 pm and conclude at 4:00 pm.

On Fridays, classes in boys’ schools will be held from 8:30 to 12:15 pm, while girls’ school timings will finish at 12 pm.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of the Shawwal moon sighting on April 9.
It stated that the new moon will be born on the night of April 8 at 11:21 PM, and there are possibilities of the moon being sighted on April 9.
On the other hand, the federal government has also announced public holidays from April 10 to 13 for Eid ul Fitr 2024.
