Weather Update: Karachi starts the day with light rain
In Karachi, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted significant rainfall on Sunday, with similar weather expected in various parts of Sindh, including Sukkur and Larkana.
The shift of westerly winds, previously affecting the northern regions of the country, is now anticipated to impact the southern and eastern areas, leading to another spell of rainfall, according to the Met Office.
Karachi is forecast to endure hot and humid weather conditions over the next 24 hours, with temperatures potentially reaching a high of 36°C. Presently, humidity levels are at 75%, accompanied by westerly winds blowing at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.
Weather analyst Jawad Memon had previously indicated the likelihood of widespread rainfall across Pakistan starting on April 13 or 14, attributing it to the influence of westerly winds. Memon also suggested the probability of above-average rainfall for April.
