It predict the Eid-ul-Adha moon may be sighted on Friday, June 7. The center stated that the moon is expected to be born at 5:38 pm on June 6, with the sun setting at 7:20 pm on June 7.
At sunset in Karachi, the moon will be 26 hours and eight minutes old, with a visibility window of 72 minutes.
In Pakistan and around the world, Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated with great enthusiasm, beginning with the Eid prayer.
A key tradition is the animal sacrifice, or Qurbani, performed in remembrance of Hazrat Ibrahim’s (A.S) willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah SWT.
The meat from the sacrifice is divided into three parts: one-third for the family, one-third for relatives and friends, and the remaining one-third for the poor and needy.
