Rainfall & gusty winds expected in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rain-wind-thunderstorms and gusty/dust-raising winds are likely in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening/night, Monday and Tuesday.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air conquers over most parts of Pakistan. A thin westerly wave conquers over northern parts of the country.

Under these circumstances, mainly dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most parts of Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening/night and the next two days. Gusty/dust-raising winds are expected in plain areas of the province during this period.

However, rain-thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Kurram, Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan and Balakot.

Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Monday and 40-42 C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy/dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Rain occurred in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the warmest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 58 percent.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 31 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 60 percent.
