More rains, gusty winds likely in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Karachi to experience drop in temperatures over next three days

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there are predictions of isolated rain and gusty winds in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening/night, Monday, and Tuesday.

Weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea are currently affecting the upper regions of Pakistan and are expected to strengthen by Monday evening/night. Additionally, a westerly wave is anticipated to approach the upper parts of the country during this period.

As a result of these weather patterns, isolated rain and gusty winds are expected in areas including Balakot, Mansehra, Abbotabad, Buner, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Malakand, and Dir on Sunday evening/night.

On Monday and Tuesday, similar conditions are forecasted for Balakot, Mansehra, Abbotabad, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Malakand, Dir, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Karak, Khyber, Bajaur, and Kurram. The rest of the province is likely to experience hot and humid weather.

In Peshawar, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 40-42°C on Monday and Tuesday.

In the past 24 hours, isolated instances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms were reported in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while hot and humid conditions prevailed in other parts of the province.

Rainfall (mm): Kalam o3, Lower Dir 01

Bannu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. Maximum temperature in Dera Ismail Khan was recorded at 42°C.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 47 percent.
