In a welcome announcement, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has declared that there will be no gas loadshedding in Sindh, including Karachi, during the Eid ul Adha holidays. This news, reported by News on Sunday, brings relief to residents as the uninterrupted gas supply is set to begin at midnight tonight and continue through June 18.
According to SSGC’s statement, the gas supply will remain steady throughout the Eid celebrations, allowing citizens to enjoy their festive meals and activities without any disruptions. However, the company noted that the regular gas loadshedding schedule will resume on June 19.
Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Adha on June 17, following the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon on June 7. This important Islamic holiday, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is observed by millions of Muslims worldwide. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (PBUH) willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. During this occasion, Muslims perform special prayers, engage in acts of charity, and share festive meals with family and friends.
Ensuring a continuous gas supply during Eid ul Adha will significantly enhance the celebrations, allowing families to prepare traditional dishes and conduct their rituals without the inconvenience of gas shortages.
