Pakistan passport latest fee update – June 2024
The government of Pakistan issues passports to its citizens, facilitating international travel as passports are an international requirement.
A valid Pakistan passport provides citizens with the right to diplomatic and consular protection while abroad and serves as their sole identification document outside the country.
First-time passport applicants must visit the relevant passport office or foreign mission to submit their application. Recently, the government increased passport fees for both normal and urgent processing categories.
As of June 2024, the fee for a standard 36-page passport valid for 5 years is Rs 4,500 for normal processing and Rs 7,500 for urgent processing.
For a 10-year validity period, the fee for the same passport type is Rs 6,700 for regular processing and Rs 11,200 for urgent processing.
For those requiring a 72-page passport valid for 5 years, the fees are Rs 8,200 for normal processing and Rs 13,500 for urgent processing.
A 100-page passport with a 10-year validity period incurs fees of Rs 12,400 for regular processing and Rs 20,200 for urgent processing.
To obtain a new passport, applicants need to provide proof of the prescribed passport fee payment, their original valid CNIC/NICOP along with a photocopy, and the original previous passport (if issued).
Government, semi-government, or autonomous body employees require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned department.
The process ensures that Pakistani citizens can access essential travel documentation efficiently, facilitating their journeys abroad.
