
Rains, gusty winds predicted in Lahore, Punjab
Intermittent rain and wind/thunderstorms are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Wednesday evening/night and the following two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating southern and central parts of Pakistan and are likely to reach upper parts by Thursday evening/night.
Under these conditions, intermittent windstorms/thunderstorms with isolated rain are expected in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ghazi Khan on Wednesday evening/night and the next two days.
Lahore’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 42-44°C on Thursday and 41-43°C on Friday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Bhakkar and Noorpur Thal were the hottest places in the province, with a maximum temperature of 47°C. Kot Addu recorded 46°C, while Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Jhelum, and Joharabad recorded 45°C.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature was 44°C, with a relative humidity of 38 percent in the evening.
