PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the promise of providing 300 units of free electricity was contingent on his election as the prime minister.

Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, Bilawal emphasized that every political party presents a manifesto for the elections.

“Providing 300 units of free electricity, along with Labour Card and Kissaan card, were part of our manifesto. I pledged to implement these measures after being elected as the prime minister,” he said.

He mentioned that he would have enacted his manifesto if his party had formed the government at the federal level. However, he noted that the PPP-led Sindh government is initiating a free solar power project for the needy in the province.

Bilawal reiterated that his party is not interested in power or ministries but is focused on addressing the issues faced by the people.
