
Weather update; isolated rains likely in Lahore, Punjab
Isolated rains and gusty winds are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night and Monday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are affecting the upper and central parts of Pakistan, along with a westerly wave impacting the upper regions.
Under these conditions, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most districts of the province on Sunday night and Monday. However, isolated rains and gusty winds are anticipated in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Mardan, Peshawar, Waziristan, and Kurram.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature is predicted to range between 37-39°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, scattered rains occurred in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours, while hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Peshawar and Bannu remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. In Peshawar and Bannu, relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 32 per cent and 38 per cent, respectively.
The maximum temperature in Dera Ismail Khan was recorded at 38°C.
