Widespread rain and gusty winds, with isolated heavy falls, are expected in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night, Monday, and Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moderate monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal are entering the upper and eastern parts of Pakistan and are likely to spread to the central and southern regions starting July 29.

Under these conditions, rain and gusty winds, with isolated heavy falls, are expected in Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Peshawar, Mohmand, Kohat, and Khyber on Sunday night.

On Monday and Tuesday, more rain and gusty winds are expected in Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Peshawar, Mohmand, Kohat, Khyber, Kurram, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan, with heavy falls likely in some upper districts during this period.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 39-41°C on Monday and 38-40°C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in most districts of the province over the past 24 hours, although rain and thunderstorms occurred in upper districts.

Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu remained the hottest places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 percent.
