
Weather update; Isolated rainfall expected in Islamabad, Pakistan
Monsoon rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Lahore and some isolated areas in Punjab on Sunday night and Monday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are affecting the upper and central parts of Pakistan, along with a westerly wave impacting the upper regions.
Under these conditions, monsoon rain, wind, and thunderstorms are likely at isolated locations including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday night and Monday. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the province.
Lahore’s maximum temperature is predicted to range between 37-39°C on Monday and Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of the province, though isolated rains occurred in the southern districts.

Attock remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Maximum temperature in Sahiwal and Bahawalpur was recorded at 39°C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 50 percent.
