NADRA suspends Birth and Death Certificate Services in Islamabad
The suspension of birth and death certificate services in Islamabad has added to the troubles of the capital’s residents. According to a report by a local TV channel, the residents are facing difficulties in obtaining these essential documents due to the halt in services by NADRA.
This suspension is the result of a Rs2 million debt that the Islamabad Municipal Corporation (MCI) owes to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The failure of the MCI to settle its dues has led to the disruption of these services, leaving residents in a difficult situation. NADRA has confirmed that the service suspension is indeed due to the outstanding debt.
The halt in services has caused significant inconvenience to Islamabad’s residents, leading to delays and complications in various processes. While there is a growing anticipation for the restoration of these services, the Municipal Corporation has yet to clarify the situation or provide a timeline for resolving the issue.
