Rain forecasted in southeast districts of Karachi, Sindh
Scattered rains and gusty winds are expected in parts of Sindh on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper parts of Pakistan and are likely to strengthen from Wednesday. Additionally, a shallow westerly wave is anticipated to approach the upper parts of the country on Wednesday.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecasted for Mithi, Badin, Umarkot, Tharparkar, and Mirpur Khas on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Partly cloudy weather is expected in Karachi and other coastal areas, while muggy weather is expected elsewhere in the province.
Karachi’s maximum temperature is likely to range between 35-37°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 39-41°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
In the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh. Dadu recorded the highest temperature in the province at 45°C, followed by Mohenjo-Daro at 44°C, and Nawab Shah at 43°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C with a relative humidity of 65% in the evening. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C with a relative humidity of 53% in the evening.
