Sanam Javed shifted to KP House on Gandapur’s directive
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed has been shifted to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad on the orders of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Yar Muhammad Khan Niazi, the CM Gandapur’s Focal Person on Digital Media, stated that the Chief Minister was in contact with Javaid’s father and husband, and the PTI activist, along with her family, will stay at KP House in the federal capital.
These comments were made a day after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered Sanam Javed’s release, ending her lengthy legal troubles, and instructed police and other law enforcement agencies not to arrest her.
It is noteworthy that Sanam Javed was arrested again on May 9th, shortly after being granted bail in other cases.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took her into custody from a prison in Gujranwala following a case filed by its Cyber Crime Cell. The FIA Cyber Crime Cell alleged that the PTI activist had posted inciting remarks on May 9th, urging people to come out and ‘attack’ the Jinnah House.
