Traffic plan for 8th, 9th and 10th Muharram issued in Karachi

Traffic plan for 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram has been issued in Karachi.

The main procession of Muharram will depart from Nishtar Park and reach Hussainiya Iraniyan Imam Bargah through its traditional fixed routes.

All types of small or large traffic will not be allowed to ply the procession route beyond Guruminder Chowk. All such traffic will be diverted to Bahadur Yar Jung Road Soldier Bazar.

Entry of all types of vehicles is prohibited on MA Jinnah Road, except those vehicles which have a sticker to join the procession on their windshield.

To join the procession, vehicles with stickers will be allowed to enter through Shahrah Qaidin Society light signal.

For security reasons, MA Jinnah Road will remain closed from Gurmandir to Tower.

People coming from Nazimabad can go towards their destination from Lasbela Chowk via Nishtar Road and Garden. People coming from Liaquatabad can go towards Central Jail by turning left at Lasbela Chowk from Tin Hatti.

People going to People’s Chowring from Hasan Square can go to Nishtar Road from Kashmir Road to Shahrah Quaideen and Jail Flyover from Tin Hatti.

From Shahrah Faisal, Shahrah leaders and exhibition goers can go to their destination via Kashmir Road to the right of the society light signal.

People going from Jamshed Road towards Gurumandir MA Jinnah Road can go towards their destination from Bahadur Yar Jung Road Soldier Bazar from Gurumandir.

People going from Garden Zoo to MA Jinnah Road can go towards their destination from Uncle Saria to Gul Plaza on the right and Coast Guard Holy Family Hospital on the left.

KARACHI: Route for procession participants

Participants coming from Nazimabad to Lasbela, right side Garden Jamaat Khana, Soldier Bazar No. 3 light signal to participate in the procession. Liaquatabad, Tin Hatti, Jehangir Road, Gurmand to participate in the exhibition procession. Participate in society light signal to exhibition procession.

Gulistan Johar and Gulshan Iqbal, University Road, Old Vegetable Market, Kashmir Road, Society Light Signal to participate in the exhibition procession.

KARACHI: Route for Sabil or Niaz vehicle

All the vehicles that will join the procession to distribute sabil or niaz will have entry point for the procession only at Tower, Memon Masjid. No vehicle will be allowed to park on the procession route.

Karachi: Routes for heavy traffic

Going towards MA Jinnah Road from Super Highway, Gulbarg will be diverted from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Nazimabad Chowrangi No. 2.

Which will go from Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road, Shershah to Maripur and similarly the same route will be taken for return.

Access to the city from the National Highway will be permitted via Shahrah Faisal, Stadium Road, Sir Shah Sulaiman Road, Hasan Square, Liaquatabad No. 10, Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road, Shershah to Maripur.

Similarly, the same route will be taken for return.
