PPP Chairman Bilawal offers assistance to Punjab govt in health sector

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has offered assistance to Punjab government in health sector so that the best healthcare facilities could be provided in Lahore and other cities of the province as being catered in Sindh province.

He also offered the services of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho to Punjab for this purpose as the both have done wonderful job in the health sector of the province.

He said this while addressing a inaugural ceremony of a 120-bed Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and 110-bed Department of Neurology and Stroke Unit at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC),

Highlighting the achievements of the Sindh health sector, he asked the Sindh chief minister to arrange the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Jinnah Hospital, NICVD and NICHE during his next visit to Karachi.

Bilawal asserted that these institutions are the best hospitals in the world, adding that the Sindh government had established the best cardiac hospital of the world.

The PPP chairman further said that not only Karachiites but also people across the country were availing from these institutions.

He recalled that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto also mentioned Public Private Partnership in the manifesto of 1993 general elections.

Bilawal observed that business class of Sindh province are the best people of the country as they are always on the forefront of serving the whole country.

He maintained that CyberKnife Robot is the only one in Pakistan, adding that all over the world, early stage cancer is treated.

Cyberknife treatment is the most expensive treatment worldwide.

The Sindh government has inaugurated the third Robot today under Public Private Partnership.

The world’s best institutions including Jinnah Hospital are honoring Dr. Tariq Mehmood, Bilawal said, adding that Royal College of Radiology has given award to Dr. Tariq Mehmood.
