The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more intermittent monsoon rains accompanied by heavy falls and gusty winds in Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday.

A deep depression over Nagarparkar and adjoining coastal areas of Sindh is expected to move west/southwestwards in the next 24 hours, leading to strong monsoon currents penetrating southern Pakistan and a westerly wave affecting upper parts from tomorrow.

Consequently, intermittent rains are forecasted in Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, and several other regions of Punjab.

Heavy rains may trigger landslides in Murree and Galliyat, and urban flooding is likely in major cities, including Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad. The maximum temperature in Lahore is expected to range between 33-35°C on Thursday and Friday.
