LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has once again imposed Section 144 and ban any public gatherings, rallies, sit-ins and protests across the province from Aug 22 to Aug 24.
The Home Department has issued the notification for the imposition of Section 144 throughout the province for three days.
The notification says that the Section 144 has been imposed for maintaining law and order and ensuring the security of human lives and properties. It further said that the ban has been clamped due to the threat of terrorism in the province.
Viewing the security fears, any public gathering can be a soft target for terrorists.
The Section 144 has been placed across the province in the interest of public, it said, adding that the implementation of the administrative order would be ensured across the province.
