
Significant rains predicted this weekend in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sindh
Significant rains and gusty winds are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, and parts of Sindh on Friday night and throughout the weekend, with occasional breaks.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are penetrating southern and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave is also present over the western and upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, intermittent rains with a few heavy downpours and gusty winds are likely in Sukkur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, and Sanghar on Friday evening/night and during the weekend.
Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 32-34°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature is forecasted to be between 36-38°C on Saturday and 35-37°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, isolated rains occurred in Karachi and parts of Sindh over the last 24 hours. Most districts experienced hot and humid weather.

Dadu, Mohenjo-Daro, and Sukkur were the hottest places in Sindh, with maximum temperatures recorded at 41°C. The maximum temperature in Nawabshah was recorded at 40°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C, with morning relative humidity at 85 percent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C, with morning relative humidity at 78 percent.
