Last year, the city administration declared a local holiday for this religious event, and the public, including students, are expecting a similar holiday this year.

The Lahore High Court has already declared a holiday for courts in observance of the Urs. However, the city administration has yet to confirm whether a public holiday will be announced for this year’s event. If the August 26 local holiday is approved, students will enjoy a long weekend from August 24 to 26, returning to school on August 27.
