
BISE Lahore: Inter, Matric exams postponed amid India-Pakistan tension
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has rescheduled the Class 9 (SSC-Part 1) exams originally set for September 17, due to the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) holiday.
A spokesperson for the Lahore Board announced that the exams for subjects including Education, History, Food and Nutrition, Al-Quran, Geometry, and Technical Drawing will now be held on September 19. Students can download their updated roll number slips with the revised exam dates from the Board’s website.
The official notification states: “It is hereby notified for the information of students and the public at large that due to the holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) on September 17, 2024, the BISE Lahore has postponed the following papers of Secondary School Certificate Part-I (9th) Second Annual Examination, 2024, which were scheduled to be held on 17-09-2024:
-Group First (09:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.): Education I, Al-Quran I, Geometrical & Technical Drawing I
-Group Second (02:00 P.M. to 04:30 P.M.): History of Pakistan I, History (Islamic/Muslim) I, Food & Nutrition
Candidates are required to arrive at their respective examination centers half an hour before the start of their exam, at 8:30 A.M. for the first group and 01:30 P.M. for the second group.”
