
Isolated rains expected in Lahore, parts of Punjab
Intermittent rains with varying intensities and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night and Friday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). A shallow westerly wave is currently affecting the upper regions of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and isolated areas in northeast Punjab, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit Baltistan are likely to experience intermittent rains on Thursday night and Friday.
The maximum temperature in Islamabad is expected to range between 31-33°C on Friday and Saturday, while Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is also expected to be between 31-33°C on these days.
Dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the past 24 hours, but rains occurred at isolated locations in northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Khuzdar.

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Sibbi, Khairpur, Dalbandin and Turbat was recorded at 40°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 85 percent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 85 percent.
