Rabi-ul-Awwal moon not sighted in Pakistan, Eid Milad un Nabi on September 17

The Rabi-ul-Awwal moon was not sighted in Pakistan on Wednesday, meaning Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) will be observed on Tuesday, September 17.

According to Ruet Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the third month of the Islamic calendar will start on Tuesday following a meeting held in the capital city, Islamabad. Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees also gathered in various cities, including Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Lahore.

Eid Milad un Nabi (SAW) is a day of deep significance for the faithful, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the final prophet of Islam. This occasion encourages Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s life, teachings, and exemplary character, reinforcing their love and reverence for him.
