Bilawal terms approval of 26th Constitutional Amendment as historic milestone
LAHORE: People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari described the approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment as a historic milestone during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, here on Sunday.
The PPP chairman, joined by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, visited the prime minister’s residence to discuss this achievement.
“We will work together to strengthen Parliament and uphold democracy,” Bilawal stated, adding that the 26th Constitutional Amendment would serve as a significant law to counter anti-democratic forces.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif credited the allied parties for the amendment’s approval, affirming, “We have not stepped back from serving the people, and we will continue this commitment.” He also noted improvements in the country’s economic indicators, with inflation showing a clear decline.
