ISLAMABAD: A crucial meeting took place at Adiala Jail between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, and Provincial Advisor for Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, lasting approximately 90 minutes.

According to sources, Barrister Gohar and Barrister Saif sought Imran Khan’s approval to engage in negotiations with government representatives.

As part of the discussions, a committee will be established to consult party members on the sit-in’s location. The government has reportedly proposed an alternative venue to D-Chowk and offered facilitation if PTI agrees to the suggested site.

PTI leadership has reaffirmed its demands, including the release of Imran Khan and all detained party members, emphasizing that they will not compromise until these conditions are fulfilled. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Barrister Gohar confirmed that the protest call issued by Imran Khan remains unchanged, dismissing rumors of its cancellation.

Talks with government officials are anticipated soon as PTI prepares its next steps for the protest.
