Upcoming protest on Nov 24 will continue until all demands are met: Gandapur
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has declared the upcoming protest on November 24 as a “decisive call,” vowing that it will continue until all demands are met.
During a consultative meeting with PTI parliamentarians from regions including Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar, and the South, Gandapur discussed strategies and preparations for the protest. The PTI leadership reaffirmed its commitment to making the protest successful.
Gandapur emphasized that the call for the protest was initiated by PTI founder and urged participants to exert maximum effort.
He directed party leaders to mobilize workers and the public, conduct grassroots meetings, and finalize arrangements to ensure a strong turnout in Islamabad. Expressing confidence in the protest’s success, Gandapur likened it to previous successful demonstrations.
On November 17, Bushra Bibi, wife of the PTI founder, met with leaders of the Insaf Students Federation (ISF) and the Youth Wing to encourage youth mobilization for the November 24 protest.
During the meeting, attended by Meena Khan, Shahid Khattak, and Sohail Afridi, she conveyed the PTI founder’s expectations from the youth. Bushra Bibi also held discussions with other party leaders, including Gul Zafar from the Bajaur agency, praising his contributions to the PTI.
In a related statement, opposition leader and PTI member Omar Ayub called on the public to join the protest in Islamabad, expressing unwavering commitment to the cause. Ayub stated that the protestors are ready to make sacrifices, reiterating their determination to achieve their demands.
It is noteworthy that Imran Khan, currently incarcerated, had earlier announced November 24 as the decisive date for the protest in Islamabad.
