Another child ‘kidnapped’ in Karachi
In a troubling wave of child abductions and disappearances in Karachi, a 13-year-old girl was reportedly kidnapped from the Gulberg area on January 26.
A kidnapping case has been registered at the Gulberg police station following a complaint from the girl’s father, who stated his daughter went missing around 6 p.m. on January 26. He accused a man named Shoaib, along with two accomplices, of abducting his daughter. Police are currently tracing the suspects’ mobile numbers as part of the investigation.
Efforts are underway to locate and rescue the girl, with police actively working to track down the kidnappers and reunite her with her family.
Earlier this week, residents in Karachi’s Peerabad area successfully thwarted an attempt to kidnap a young boy and apprehended the suspect.
The incident took place in Noorani Mohalla, where a man attempted to abduct a six-year-old boy named Owais. The boy was safely recovered, and the suspect was handed over to police after being beaten by the citizens. Authorities confirmed the kidnapper tried to lure the boy with biryani.
