Earthquake tremors felt in Balochistan’s Kalat area

Earthquake tremors were felt in Kalat city and nearby regions on Sunday, sending residents into a state of panic.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 18 kilometers. The epicenter was located 22 kilometers from Sibi, a city in Balochistan.

Despite the earthquake’s intensity, no casualties or property damage have been reported from Kalat or surrounding areas. Following the tremors, people hurried out of their homes, reciting verses from the Holy Quran in fear.

Authorities have confirmed that there were no significant impacts on the capital or neighboring regions. Local officials continue to monitor the situation for any aftershocks, while the public remains on high alert.
