Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, announced that the ministry is set to host an international conference on girls’ education in Islamabad, marking a significant step forward.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, he stated that the event will be organized in collaboration with the Muslim World League and will position Pakistan as a leader in promoting girls’ education within Muslim communities.

The conference will feature participation from leaders, policymakers, diplomats, religious scholars, educationists, and experts from various Muslim countries.

Dr. Siddiqui highlighted the transformative impact of education, emphasizing that the conference aims to draw global attention from Muslim nations and foster greater cooperation to advance girls’ education. Afghanistan has also been invited to participate in the event.

He shared that approximately 150 delegates from 47 countries are expected to attend, along with provincial education ministers from across Pakistan.
