Pakistan and Azerbaijan have reiterated their resolve to further enhance bilateral relations by extending cooperation in diverse sectors, including energy, investment, and tourism, as well as other areas of mutual interest between the two countries.

An agreement was made during a meeting between Abdul Aleem Khan, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization, and Communications, and Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov on Saturday in Baku.

Welcoming Aleem Khan and the Pakistani delegation, Prime Minister Ali Asadov emphasized the strong bond of brotherhood between the two countries, which he believes will grow even stronger in the future. He praised Pakistan’s recent progress in various sectors and assured Azerbaijan’s support for increased investment and cooperation with Pakistan.

During the discussion, Aleem Khan highlighted the investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in the privatization of State-Owned Entities (SOEs). The two sides noted that after the Azerbaijani President’s visit to Pakistan last year, bilateral relations have entered a new phase. They also explored the future prospects of Azerbaijan-Pakistan strategic partnership, focusing on economy, trade, investment, and other mutual interests.

Abdul Aleem Khan also held meetings with Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Pervez Shahbazov, Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashiri and President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rovshan Najaf.
