
COAS emphasized students to pursue academic excellence
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir urged students to strive for academic excellence with dedication, the ISPR reported on Saturday.
During his visit to Bahawalpur Cantonment, the COAS was welcomed by the Commander of Bahawalpur Corps.
As per ISPR, General Asim Munir was briefed on the operational preparedness and training aspects of the Bahawalpur Corps. Addressing officers and troops, he praised their unwavering dedication, high morale, and combat readiness.
He emphasized that rigorous training is the foundation of a soldier’s professional growth and should remain a defining trait of the Pakistan Army to tackle the challenges of modern warfare.
The COAS inaugurated the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS), Innovista Cholistan, and the Integrated Combat Simulator Arena—key initiatives designed to enhance medical education, Information Technology, and combat training.
During his visit to CIMS, he interacted with students from various universities in Bahawalpur, reaffirming the Army’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
He encouraged students to pursue academic excellence and develop essential skills to contribute effectively to national progress. He also highlighted the crucial role of youth in shaping Pakistan’s future and reiterated the Army’s support for initiatives that empower young individuals.
Earlier, on an official visit to the United Kingdom, General Asim Munir was briefed on the British Army’s modernization plans and the Deep Recce Strike Brigade.
According to ISPR, he visited Warminster and Larkhill Garrisons at the invitation of General Roland Walker, CGS of the UK Army.
During the visit, the British Army showcased niche technologies, including AI and uncrewed systems.
