Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet today for moon sighting of Safar 1447 AH

Islamabad: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today (Friday) to sight the moon of the Islamic month of Safar al-Muzaffar 1447 Hijri.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the meeting will be chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad and will take place at the central office of the Ministry in Islamabad.

Other members of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will attend their respective provincial and district meetings across the country. All zonal and district committees will convene at their respective locations. The final announcement regarding the moon sighting will be made by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from SUPARCO has stated that the chances of sighting the moon of Safar al-Muzaffar today are extremely low.
