Islamabad: Court orders for blocking 27 popular YouTube channels

Islamabad: The court has ordered to block  27 well-known YouTube channels.

Justice Abbas Shah of Islamabad’s Judicial Magistrate’s Court heard the request from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to block the YouTube channels, during which relevant officials appeared before the court.

Following the hearing, the court instructed the Officer-in-Charge of YouTube to block the 27 channels.

In the court’s order, it was stated that the FIA initiated an inquiry into content against the state on June 2.

The FIA is satisfied with the evidence and is authorized to take legal action according to the law.
