Karachi: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has issued a crucial alert to all airline pilots operating at Karachi Airport, emphasizing heightened caution due to an increase in bird activity during the ongoing monsoon season.

In a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), the authority urged flight crews to remain vigilant during takeoff and landing procedures, as the presence of birds around the airport poses significant safety risks.

The PAA highlighted that bird strikes can result in severe damage to aircraft or even catastrophic accidents. Bird strikes have historically caused serious incidents worldwide, and Karachi Airport is no exception.

Recently, a commercial flight narrowly avoided a disaster after being hit by a bird during its approach.

The incident left passengers distressed, with some breaking down in tears due to the sudden turbulence and fear.
