BLA facilitator arrested in Quetta, Linked to dozens of attacks
Quetta: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a major operation in Quetta and arrested an important associate of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), security sources confirmed on Friday.
The suspect, identified as Mir Khan Muhammad, was reportedly a close aide of BLA leader Dr. Usman Qazi. According to officials, he holds a law degree from the International Islamic University and later served as a prosecutor inspector in Balochistan.
Security sources revealed that Khan Muhammad had been actively facilitating terrorists and was involved in anti-state activities across the province. During initial questioning, it was discovered that he played a role in more than a dozen criminal and terrorist incidents.
CTD officials have begun a detailed investigation to uncover more about his network and the operations he was linked to. Authorities believe his arrest is a major step in weakening the BLA’s support system in the region.
