
Journalist Khawar Hussain found dead in Sanghar
The body of journalist Khawar Hussain was found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle in Sanghar on Saturday.
Khawar Hussain, who had been working with a private news channel, was discovered outside a restaurant on Hyderabad Road.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said a pistol was found in Hussain’s hand, raising questions about whether his death was a suicide or something else. Rescue teams also reached the scene to assist, and the investigation is still underway as more details are awaited.
Originally from Sanghar, Khawar Hussain had been working as a journalist in Karachi for nearly ten years, serving at several different media outlets.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has asked the provincial police chief for a detailed report. He directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to appoint the department’s best officer to investigate and ensure that the cause of death is determined through a thorough inquiry. The chief minister also prayed for strength for Hussain’s family and instructed authorities to provide them with full support.
