Balochistan’s challenges require Political solution, Says Bilawal
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the issues of Balochistan can only be solved through political means.
Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Bilawal stressed that decisions must be made in the best interest of the local people. He added that some banned groups had sided with the enemy during the war with India, but efforts are now underway to dismantle India’s network in the region.
The PPP leader also raised concerns over the lack of support for Punjab’s flood victims. He urged the federal government to extend help to them through the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). “Why is this not being done?” he asked, pressing the government to review its policy. He also called on the government to seek aid from the international community.
Regarding Karachi, Bilawal stated that the city is facing numerous challenges. “We build roads, and then someone digs them up again,” he complained. He said he would ask the chief minister to take up Karachi’s issues with federal institutions.
Bilawal further announced that the Sindh government will soon unveil an agricultural package to support farmers in the province.
