Brave officer Major Adnan Aslam’s Funeral prayers held, PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal pay tribute
Rawalpindi: People offered the funeral prayers of the brave son of the soil, Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed, in Chaklala, Rawalpindi. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir also attended the prayers.
According to ISPR, the 31-year-old officer embraced martyrdom at CMH during treatment.
ISPR stated that on 2 September 2025, Major Adnan Aslam embraced martyrdom in Bannu after fighting bravely against a cowardly attack by Indian-backed proxies, “Khawarij.” He led his troops from the front with unmatched courage and determination.
PM Shehbaz Sharif, along with the Defence and Information Ministers, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, senior military and civil officers, and the martyr’s family, attended the funeral.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid rich tribute to the bravery of Major Adnan Aslam, saying: “Today we lost a fearless son of this land.”
He added that the courage and sacrifice of the martyr will always remain alive in the hearts of the nation. He described the officer as a true symbol of unshakable resolve, love for the motherland, and the eternal spirit of sacrifice.
Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed will be laid to rest in his native town with full military honors.
