Four policemen injured in roadside blast in Peshawar
At least four policemen were injured on Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near a police van on Kohat Road in the Kamar Din Garhi area of Peshawar.
According to Capital City Police Officer Dr. Mian Saeed, the police vehicle was on a routine patrol near Qamar Din Chowk when the improvised explosive device exploded.
The blast damaged the van and left four officers wounded, who were quickly taken to a nearby hospital. Police teams reached the site soon after, and an investigation into the incident has begun.
This is not the first such attack in the region. Back in August, a bomb blast in the Wana tehsil of South Waziristan killed two people and injured at least ten others, including two police officers.
District Police Officer Tahir Khan confirmed that the explosion occurred in the busy Wana Rustan bazar area. Two passersby died on the spot, while several others were injured. The wounded were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, and security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to find those behind the attack.
