ISLAMABAD: Pakistan received $3.4 billion in remittances in October 2025, a 12% increase from the same month last year and a 7% rise from September, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The SBP said total remittances for July to October of the current fiscal year (FY26) stood at $13 billion — up 9.3% from $11.9 billion during the same period last year.
Most of the funds in October came from Saudi Arabia ($820.9 million), the United Arab Emirates ($697.7 million), the United Kingdom ($487.7 million), and the United States ($290 million).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised overseas Pakistanis for their continued support, saying their growing remittances reflected confidence in the government’s policies.
“Overseas Pakistanis are our greatest strength. They continue to support their homeland by sending their hard-earned money,” the Prime Minister said in a statement issued on Friday.
He expressed optimism that this positive trend would continue, helping stabilize Pakistan’s economy and strengthen the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
