Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir receives guard of honour at GHQ

During the prestigious event, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was presented a guard of honour by contingents from all three branches of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

RAWALPINDI:  Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received a guard of honour at the General Headquarters Rawalpindi

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), a special guard of honour ceremony was held at the GHQ to honour Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Pakistan’s first appointed Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).

During the prestigious event, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was presented a guard of honour by contingents from all three branches of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

The ceremony was attended by top military officials, including Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu.

The arrival of the special guest was announced with bugles, and a general salute was presented by the honour guard.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir inspected the ceremonial troops, received a general salute, and reviewed the guard of honour comprising personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

It is noteworthy that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan secured a decisive victory against India in the Marka e Haq.

During the war, Pakistan not only neutralized the enemy’s air defense systems but also successfully shot down seven of India’s most advanced fighter jets.

This achievement highlighted the strategic acumen and operational excellence of Pakistan’s armed forces under Field Marshal Munir’s command.
