Pakistan’s Progress ‘On the Right Path’: Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir appointed as first Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan.

During an interaction with journalists at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed confidence about the country’s progress.

He stated, “Everything is fine. Everything is in front of you. Things are moving in the right direction. Pakistan is now set to soar to greater heights.”

Notably, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir appointed as the first Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, notification issued.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had sent the summary of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s appointment as Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces to the Presidency after its approval.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will be the Chief of Army Staff as well as the Chief of Defence Forces.

Separately, President Zardari also approved two-year extension in the tenure of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu. The extension will come into effect once his ongoing five-year term concludes in March 2026.
