A contingent of more than five thousand security officials has been deployed by the Gilgit-Baltistan administration to ensure safety during Elections scheduled to be held on November 15.
According to the details, Spokesman of caretaker Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Mir Afzal Faizullah Faraq has said that all security arrangements for the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan are complete.
A spokesman for the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister said that police personnel have been called from all over the country to make the security arrangements foolproof.
According to Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister’s Spokesperson Faizullah Faraq, 3,000 police personnel have been called from Punjab for the safety during Sunday Polls.
Whereas a contingent of 2,000 policemen from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 500 from Sindh.
Electioneering in the region is in full swing by all political parties taking part in the Nov 15 election.
The personnel will be required to adhere to a full winter uniform code and keep warm clothing with them because of the severity of weather in the region.
They will also require to follow SOPs (standard operation procedures) against Covid-19.
